Israeli forces recovered Nattapong’s body near Rafah and brought it back to Israel on June 6, 2025; his remains arrived in Thailand on June 11.

Life before
Nattapong, known as Nick on Facebook, came from Nakhon Phanom in northeastern Thailand. He moved to Israel in 2022 to earn more for his wife and young son, working in the avocado and pomegranate fields at Nir Oz while saving toward a coffee shop for his wife.

Abduction
On the morning of October 7, 2023, Nattapong called his wife, Narissara, to say there was shooting and that he was running away. He was abducted alive from Nir Oz.

Captivity
Israeli officials later assessed that Nattapong had been murdered in captivity, in the first months after his abduction. His family learned of his death after the remains were recovered and identified in June 2025.

Return
Israeli forces recovered Nattapong’s body near Rafah on June 6, 2025. The Israeli Embassy reported completion of forensic identification and official family and Thai government notification on June 7. His remains arrived in Thailand on June 11.

Aftermath
His wife and family received his remains at Suvarnabhumi Airport on June 11, 2025. Thai officials held a memorial ceremony and said his body would be returned to his hometown for religious rites.
