The National Intelligence Agency named Chakraphan under his Thai name among four Thai hostages released on 29 November 2023. On 4 December, The Reporters named him among six released workers arriving at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok at 13:50 on flight LY 081.

Work in the Gaza Envelope

The Reporters identifies Chakraphan as a worker from Udon Thani. Hope for Hostages describes Chakraphan Sikena as a Thai farmer who worked in the Gaza Envelope.

Taken hostage

Chakraphan was among the hostages abducted during the attack of 7 October 2023 and taken to Gaza. NEWSru names him as Jakkaphan Sikhena in its account of this hostage group. Before the attack he worked as a farmer in the Gaza Envelope.

The National Intelligence Agency of Thailand named จักรพันธ์ สีเคนา among four Thai hostages released on 29 November 2023. Nation Thailand named Jakkaphan Sikhena among the four who reached hospital safely.

On 4 December, The Reporters named จักรพันธ์ สีเคนา among six released Thai workers arriving at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 13:50 on flight LY 081. The report identifies Udon Thani as Chakraphan’s home province.

After release

In a reflection published under Phaiboon Ratnin and Jakkapan Seekena’s names, they praised the Thai and Israeli staff at the hospital. They wrote that the staff’s care made life feel changed “like night and day” after release, and hoped every hostage could return to loved ones.
