Eytan Yisrael Kantman

Eytan Yisrael Kantman, son of Naama and Benaya Yehoshua HaLevi, belonged to a family from Neria in the Binyamin region. The Izkor website records that he was born on 19 October 2003 and names his five siblings: Elkana Rafael, Tamar, Yair, Yonatan and Moshe Achiyah. Announcements by the council and Arutz Sheva also describe his childhood in Beit El and the family's move to Neria several years before his death. These were the communities in which he grew up and to which condolences were addressed after his passing. The messages of mourning mentioned his family, friends and all who loved him, alongside the community that had accompanied him through the stages of his life.

His path took him through Torah study and academic training. According to the sources that named him, he studied at the Mitzpe Yericho Yeshiva and later at the Lev Academic Center. He chose the academic reserve program in computer science. The council's announcement and Arutz Sheva's report stated that he completed his studies in 2025 and served as an academic professional officer. The national memorial website lists his rank as Professional Academic Officer and his service branch as the C4i Corps. His documented story thus encompasses yeshiva studies, computer science studies and military service.

On 27 Tammuz 5786, 12 July 2026, Eytan Yisrael died during his service in the war, as recorded on the Izkor website. The official website states that he was twenty-two when he died. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl and was survived by his parents and siblings.

Council head Israel Ganz expressed in the announcement of mourning his pain at the loss to the family, the Neria community and Binyamin as a whole. He offered condolences to the parents and all five siblings, the extended family, friends and everyone who loved Eytan Yisrael. In his words, he sought to embrace the Neria community in its difficult hour and stressed that no words could bring comfort in the face of so great a loss. May his memory be a blessing.
